Clark is one of the most considerate people I've met. Since I've joined Holoworld Fleet I've looked up to him for his ability to command the USS ATHENE and deal with players in a very real and compassionate way. He knows what it is to be committed to something and has done an excellent job with the Fleet for the past while and I have enjoyed interacting with him greatly. He seems to make people feel good about who they are and inspires people to do better. At least that's what he has done for me, and for that I am grateful.

Thanks to clark and all he has done for me and the USS HAMILTON! Definitely the best fleet admiral to date hands down!!!!

From the crew of the USS ATHENE:
Clark, sometimes, expressions of care and gratitude and praise are
so strong that we can't really say them in our own words, because to do so
would be like trying to define something that refuses to be defined. It is at
times like these that we call upon the wisdom of others to say what we
could never hope to create the words for...
"Captain, is it possible.. that we two, you and I.. have grown so
old and set in our ways.. as to have outlived our usefulness? Would that
constitute.. a joke?" --Spock, STV
-Love always, mon capitan... Adam
An incredibly competent person... probably why he finally gave it up! *G* No seriously, the Admiralty of this club is a very difficult full time job. In a position dealing only with the online personalities, it can be quite difficult keeping principles first. It is a tribute to Clark's talents and nature that the worst thing I ever heard said about his term in office was that he was too willing to give a person a chance to redeem themselves. If only I had a fine glass of Oban to toast a job well done!

Clark is a great captain who comes up with great nicknames that seem to stick, which may or may not be a good thing :)

"Clark, As your long term reign as the Admiral of the Cocoon...I would have to say you have done an exemplary job. The overseeing of the new Academy, the boost to new cadets joining.,,,,,,and staying,,,and the tons of hours you put into the entire club shows...(and not just the wrinkles on your face!*G*)
So, all in all, I would have to say thanks for taking on the thankless job where you gave new meaning to the saying..*You can't please all of the people all of the time....and none of the people some of the time...er......all of the animals.....errrr...parttime job.....uhhhhh,,,You know what i mean. *EG*"
And finally....I will have to say without a doubt...You were a much better Admiral than you are a golfer!!!!!! LOL *RBEG*

Clark,
I've had the unique vantage point of being able to watch all the work that you've done as Fleet CO "behind the scenes." Even before I decided to get back into playing the game, I knew how much you put into the club. And when I did come back, I became even more aware of how hard you worked to keep things running smoothly and to treat everyone fairly. I know I wouldn't have had as much fun without your help and guidance while you were the Fleet CO. And I'm certain there are others who feel the same way.
All my love,
Theresa

Anybody who survives the Fleet CO job for a significant period of time
deserves a medal! Clark not only survived, but he did an awesome job. The
only comfort we get for losing you as Fleet CO is the fact that your
masterfully posting self isn't leaving HWF in general!! Thank you, Clark!

To my favorite Admiral.... C.O.B.E.
Smootches! Of course you remember the nickname that you chose for yourself on the Cochrane-NRPG list, in an attempt to have a cool name like Raven and Azrael. Hehehe so how is my favorite Crabby Old Bald Eagle doing. You have been an inspiration to me as I have moved up the ranks here in Holoworld. You have been like a father to me, and I just wanted you to know, that when I was in Egypt it was the Cochrane, with all its personnel included, that helped me through the worst times of my culture shock. I don't think that I have ever told you exactly how much you mean to me and tell the Admiral to have a happy retirement... if he can keep out of trouble. Clark, i really love you buddy. You are more than a friend and I hope that someday we will eventually get to meet in person. And I promise that i won't sick the dog on you. LOL You are truely one of the greats of Holoworld and i can only strive to continue under your fine example. SMOOTCHES
I love my C.O.B.E.

Clark,
I cannot hope to match, neither in praise nor genuine affection, the messages that have no doubt already been added to this list. This isn't to say that I haven't praise for you, or genuine affection. But I would only be repeating what countless others will have said by now.
You are a fine player. Certainly one that rises above the ranks, with consistently good writing, regardless of the situation. And as an admiral, you did an equally good job. I would go so far as to say you handled the part better than I can recall anyone else having done so. Not because you are a greater admiral, but because you possessed the ability to build upon what had been left behind by the other great players who assumed the role at one time or other.
Certainly, you deserve every piece of praise you receive. But I still wouldn't presume to match what's been said already. It goes without saying.

Only the strong or foolish would take on the role of Admiral. Samson
lost all his strength when he lost his hair, so I have to assume with
your follicle problem...........
Seriously though, you handled what is a very tough and thankless job
with a high degree of fairness. I have served under five Admirals and
have seen many problems that each have faced. The fact that I have been
in the club four years and seen five Admirals goes a long way in
emphasising the stress the job can cause.
There is a line in ST IV that seems appropriate.
"It is the judgement of this council that you be reduced in rank to Captain and that as of a consequence of your new rank, you be given the duties that you have repeatedly demonstrated unswerving ability, the command of a Starship."
Well done Clark and thank you.

Clark,
As the Fleet CO that served before you, I know more than most how difficult the job of Fleet CO is. It is something one cannot really truely appreciate until one has served.
You have done a great job in a most difficult of posts. For myself, and on behalf of all of DS 101, I thank you for all you have done for the club during your time as Fleet CO.
