Epona believes the Telmarc are using some materials in their ships hulls that dampens the noises, perhaps the same materials the Lúchrupan ship is made of. But there is no knowing of that without an examination of the Telmarc ships. On the planet, Abbel Abalder is kept under close surveillance and on a transporter lock, while Vymora checks the meeting place for traps and other surprises. But the meeting with the Gironan First Minister and members of her cabinet, the Telmarc ambassador, Gironan scientists and others is not proceeding as expected as Telmarc soldiers take them all hostage after Burke presents proof that the Telmarc are involved in the situation and only want to mine the diamonds. Epona leaves the HORIZON with her fleet of shuttles and runabouts while the away team is taken hostage and decides to take a look ot the situation on the planet herself as a jamming field prevents them from communication and sensor anylysis. She blasts the replicator facilites that house the source of the jamming fields, crashing her fighter in the second one after ejecting the life pod from it. Abbel Abalder is killed while trying to stop the Telmarc ambassador from changing his plans. Epona`s life pod lands in the sea, sinking down to a depth of more than 5000 meters, with no power left and no communication. On the HORIZON, plans are worked out to stop the waves and incapacitate the Telmarc and their arriving fleet, while a fleet of Gironan vessels departs from Girona I. The First Minister has had it build, sensing that the Telmarc would betray them somehow. The fleet is well provided and motivated but inexperienced. Vymora and her security detail use a chance to [[überwältigen]] their captivators and Vymora presses the Telmarc ambassador for vital information, getting Telmarc military command codes while nearly suffocating him. Gironans and Federation ships join forces to trick the temarc into getting a chance to use the codes, hoping to avoid a battle. All the while Epona waits on the bottom of the sea to be rescued. The noises are no longer affecting her and she watches organisms proliferate outside the pod. But her prolonged stay there also frightens her more than she would ever openly admit. A SpecOps team under Arkanis leaves the HORIZON to get Epona back, although none of the crew is fit enough to participate in such an endeavour. Epona is very glad that Cady is among them. ******************* ************************************************* ************************** Condor Squadron Commander ************************** Branch Admiral Earle Hayes. ************************** ***************** DS101 CO: Captain Alyza GM: Don ***************** Still in battle with the supercarrier the CURIE's shields are at 45% and Bridge consoles are smoking. CURIE manages to score several hits on the supercarrier, which absorbs the hits with its massive shields. The CURIE continues to fire and hitting the supercarrier, seemingly without effect. Suddenly the supercarrier begins to breakup, as if a threshold of damage had suddenly been crossed. Large explosions ripped through its hull as the CURIE backed off to escape the blast zone. Many of the supercarrier's shuttles were not so lucky and fell victim to the violent explosion. Brooks quickly scans the debris area looking for survivors. He finds his lost crewmates aboard a damaged shuttle. They are quickly transported to CURIE's Sickbay. The CURIE does not escape unscathed. The hull is breached on three decks. Those decks are quickly evacuated and repairs are begun. CURIE's warp core is knocked off-line. Brooks promises it will be back on-line within three hours (nrpg: which, following Scott's Engineering Rule #1 means about 90 minutes ). T'al, Teel'a, and other injured are well cared for in Sickbay by Dr Poynton. T'al muses about the possible alteration of the time line. A rescued Kwani pilot, Gudi, reveals her conclusion that the supercarrier was a Kwani ship sent from the future to destroy the Mayarans. Gudi experiences a psychic connection with Bajj Marrek, one of the supercarrier's officers. Marrek, now dead, faces the judgment of the Goddess. Repenting his actions and with his love of Telrah once again filling his heart, Marrek moves to the next phase of eternity in the arms of his Goddness. Lt T'al is soon out of Sickbay, vision slightly blurry and antennae aching. He still has a few more surgical repair to undergo before his is completely healed and back on full duty status. Teel'a remains in Sickbay in a coma, but Dr Poynton is upbeat about the chances for full recovery. The Mayarians and Kwani governments agree to meet to hold diplomatic talks. Gudi contributes significantly to these talks. Cpt Alyza also offers the help of a Federation Diplomat. Gudi briefs the Federation Diplomat, Yiostra Goedoe, about her race's Borg-like group conscience, how she came to discover that the supercarrier was from the future, that the supercarrier's mission was a pre-emptive strike to prevent the Mayarians from causing the Kwani's destruction. Lt Stan the Man remains behind to assist in the diplomatic meeting. The CURIE will pick him up at a later date. Debris from the destroyed supercarrier is retrieved by the CURIE for further study. T'al makes a brief visit to the Bridge and talks with Cpt Alyza. With repairs completed the CURIE departs the Mayar System to continue its mission laying buoys. Later with the buoys deployed a distress call from a Bolian freighter is received. The CURIE alters course to investigate. ************************ ************************************ USS NIGHTINGALE CO: Captain Pol Canon GM: Doug ************************************** The Nightingale reached the coordinates of the apparent warp-core breach in the Loten system. They beam aboard a possible message buoy. Ensign Tanari and Pel were left to play with their new toy. Tanari questioned third party intervention in the technological developments of the people of the system. She discovers the quintary star system in the sector, and then worked on sensors to understand better what happened. Dennis gave his input on the message buoy. Lt. Hanson and crew soon learn that the buoy contains a bomb set to go off in a few seconds. Canon calls for Red Alert, and Hanson, Gabe, and Tanari have engineering cleared in case they are unable to disarm it. Ensign Lister informs the `bomb squad' that the red wire was connected to a proximity sensor and advises against cutting it. The crew realizes they must isolate the area and put of force fields to shield the blast. Lt. Gabriel Pelgrims proved once again that he is indeed a miracle-worker as he disarms the bomb, a bomb Gabe does not think could be manufactured by the Gethi or Partans. Ensign Meredith Tanari aided Gabriel in conducting research on the Loten system after they successfully defused the bomb. Hanson went to speak with the CO. Captain Canon proceeded to ream out his officers until he found the underlying cause of the bomb incident. Lister, Tanari, and Pelgrims explained themselves. As a result, Canon decided to meet with the two sides in a neutral location - the USS NIGHTINGALE. Hanson and the others get ready for the meeting with the dignitaries and don their dress whites. Ensign Lister, however, had duties to perform. From his bridge station, he discovered an incoming missile headed straight for the Gale. He raised the shields and took evasive maneuvers in response. Hanson orders the next missile debris beamed into a cargo bay for analysis. Ensign Lister destroys one of the next incoming nuclear devices and brings in the remains to a shuttle bay for Gabe to inspect. Hanson gives over the command chair to Lt. Syllis and joins Captain Canon and company in the shuttle bay. They soon find that the missile is not nuclear in nature, but actually contains a dying Bajoran Federation ambassador. They could not save her, so the Gale crew gained a murder mystery on their hands. The Nightingale's XO Dennis Hanson directed officer's Patton, Lister, and Tanari to begin an investigation. Hanson, Patton, Tanari, Pelgrims, and Lister meet later at a busy `Swamp' to discuss their findings. At this time they are also joined by Peligrims and Marcol Narai at their table. Post mortem examination by lt. Patton shows that the Ambassadors body is saturated with a unknown substance which is identified by ensign Lister as being a Mineral Solvent used in Dilithium mining when phaser bores are impractical to use. The discovery of the Mineral Solvent leads to another hint to the Ambassadors death. But will it be a useful one or is it just a blank? ************************************ USS YEAGER CO: Commander Rudolf Fischer ************************************ NO REPORT SUBMITTED ***************************************************** ***************************************************** Respectfully Submitted Don Fleet GM fleetgm-put the at symbol here -yahoogroups -put a dot here - com
