| Hello Robert Patrick my favourite actor ever, I am inspired to send this email after seeing your interview on The X-Files Official Site (TOS) in the hope that it may brighten your day a little. You seemed sad that youd only done 40 shows out of over 200 but to me they were the best shows of the whole 9 seasons and the finest episodes of any series Ive seen. I watched every episode of TXF religiously ever since the Pilot, always switching off the lights and X-iling the boys (husband and son) to another room while I had total silence and darkness to watch my favourite show. My daughters also been a fan since S5. It wasnt until you joined the series in S8 that I became obsessed. Your character of John Doggett was just what the show needed to enliven it. You brought an energy that no one else could have done quite the same way. I hope you realise also that you have many fans out here who feel the same way. It also helps that we think you are very easy on the eye and we hope you keep working out and wearing tight white T-shirts (LOL my friends will expect me to add something like that) Youve been a breath of fresh air to the series and my life. Even before seeing your first episode I did my research and began collecting your movies. I now have 44 in my collection. I even bought The Sopranos S2 DVD set only to just watch your 3 episodes. To further show my support Ive written 32 TXF fan fiction stories with John Doggett as the lead character. My latest is a post finale story on TOS that Im co writing with another avid JD fan. Were up to page 70 and its fast becoming novel length. It could be the next XF movie if it wasnt so risqu lol. You seem to have a great sense of humour so if you have time to read some stories for a laugh here are links to two funny PG Doggett/Reyes fics by RPcrazy (AnneB) and Scifinerdgrl (Amy) Romancing the Egg http://xfmufic.tripod.com/stories2/romancingtheegg.txt Kissing Restraint 101 http://xfmufic.tripod.com/stories/kissingrestraint.txt To even further my support Ive written over 20 reviews of your movies including one for Backflash on IMDb (Internet Movie Database). http://us.imdb.com/CommentsShow?249378 Here are many of my other RP movie reviews. http://www.geocities.com/rpperspective/rpfilm.html Im really going to miss John Doggett as Im sure you will too but I will be following your career and Im sure after showing what a truly talented actor you are you will get plenty of quality work in the future. I will always be a keen Robert Patrick fan. Id like to say Im your biggest fan but Im sure there are many out there who would probably say theyd rival me for the privilege. Take care and please do another series soon so all your fans and myself can have their regular RP fix. AnneB aka RPcrazy |

| GREEN GUIDE LETTERS Re: The Nearly ex Files by Joyce Millman Green Guide Thursday, October 10, 2002 I am so disappointed! Being a big fan of The X-Files for all nine seasons ever since the pilot back in 1993, I was so let down after reading the article in this (last) weeks Green Guide by Joyce Millman titled The Nearly ex Files. I too could have looked up some X-Files facts and strung them together swooning over Mulder and Scully in the first five seasons and beyond but I would have been more sympathetic to seasons 8 and 9 did the author see any of these seasons episodes? In her article she did not do these final seasons justice. I have seen every episode from the Season 1 Pilot to Season 9 The Truth, including the movie and feel qualified to say that they have been the most entertaining nine years of my television viewing. The introduction of Robert Patrick (John Doggett) and Annabeth Gish (Monica Reyes) as the new co-stars gave us X-Files enthusiasts two more years of quality viewing and revived the show, freshened up the mytharc and added more excellent episodes to entertain our evenings. The author mentions Gillian Andersons Emmy and Golden Globe awards but congratulations should also go to Robert Patrick for winning the 2001 Saturn Award for Best Television Actor The X-Files. Heres a suggestion for the Green Guide editors. Next X-Files article lets have a writer who represents the majority of viewers opinions rather than the small handful that this author represents. I will sadly miss this series but I will always remember that each year it got better and better, with seasons 8 and 9 being the top of my list. The X-Files may have closed its final case but I will always remember the show as my favourite television series of all time. RPcrazy (Real name given) |
