Movie Holmeses
Holmes'
looks on the movies.
And here aren't all of them! If you're interested in the subject
it is worth reading a book called "The Films Of Sherlock
Holmes".
| He's Basil Rathbone, who
played Holmes in over 10 movies in 1930's and 1940's. My
opinion: Unfortunately I haven't seen any of his films...
But |
|
| He's Peter Cushing, played
Holmes (if I remember right)in 1970's. My opinion: I haven't seen his holmes. I recall him as the villainer in the Star Wars... |
|
| Basil Rat (or mouse),
played the detective in a Disney animation in 1980's. My opinion: He's incredible! (this movie I've seen, was very scary for a four-year-old). He looks very much like Rathbone. |
|
| Jeremy Brett. Holmes in the tv-series 1984-1994. My opinion: Awesome! My cup of tea, his impressions and all Hear his laughter! |
|
| He played Holmes in an
educational children tv-series Ups and Downs (made in
Poland). I don't know his name. He's true Holmes, with a serious comedial approach. Note the deerstalker while he's indoor. |
|
| Richard Roxburgh, played
Holmes in the 2000's. The movie (The Hound of the Baskervilles, 2002) itself was directed all wrong, but Roxburg does have the right expression/gestures/laugh for being a Holmes (but not The Holmes). |
|
| Basil and Böbi Ratbone.
Play themselves in the documentaryfilm "The Private
Live of a Desert rat. They're not Holmeses but two pretty gerbilettes! |
