Well finally I saw Hero on my holidays here's my review:

The movie is set 2000 years ago during the Warring States period ,China was divided into seven kingdoms. The King of Qin was the most ruthless to conquered the land and he was regarded as the common threat by the other six kingdoms.

The movie starts with Jet li claiming to the king that how easily he defeated the three assassins -Sky (Donnie Yen), Broken Sword (Tony Leung) and Flying Snow (Maggie Cheung). The story is about  how these enemies were killed with some twists involved in the middle and as the story progresses slowly slowly the truth comes out. Different colours were used for each versions -Red, Blue, Green, White and black.

The plot is not something extraordinary but its the way the story was shown by ZhangYimou was something extraordinary. The characters -Nameless,BrokenSword, FlyingSnow,Sky and the King all lived up to there expectations. Jetli (Nameless) did the most impecable job .He proved that nobody can steal the show from him. DonnieYen(Sky) only appeared for just 15 minutes on the screen which was quite disappointing .I would have rather seen more of him then ZhangZiyi. FlyingSnow(MaggieCheung) also did a wonderful job along with TonyLeung (BrokenSword). ZhangZiyi(Likemoon) also played her part well.

The movie was filled with tons of action and as expected lots of wire-fu was involved . I thought the fight scenes were quite disappointing.They were not so well edited but there is one fight scene in the movie which really lived up to my expectations the fight scene between Jetli (Namaeless) and DonnieYen (Sky) was a great showdown to watch.The fight  lasts about 5 to 6 minutes and it will really keep you on your toes. I would recommend it as one of the best fight scene of Jetli's long career. The fight scene between Maggie Cheung and Zhang Ziyi was blown away with the amount of leaves used.The audience can't actually see what's actually happening because of so much leaves surrounding the screen . The Lake fight scene between Jet li and TonyLeung was very badly edited but there are quite a few special effects used  which was cool to watch.

This is a movie which is very touching filled with lots of twists .All in all this is a complete entertainer provided by ZhangYimou.
