Cassandra

Cassandra is finished, long live Cassandra!

Full details of
Cassandra will appear shortly.

Principal photography began on July 26th and finished on August 3rd; pickup shooting was completed on September 14th, and ADR recording finished on October 31st.

Preliminary editing began on October 2th. Primary visual editing began on October 6th and wrapped on October 17th, with the first cut of the picture being just over 42 minutes long. Credits were added on October 31st, pushing the film to near 44 minutes. Sound editing (live sounds, foley, ADR, music etc) began on October 18th and finished on November 6, while visual effects (fades, SFX transitions, region stabilisation etc) were added later that day.

A preliminary audio mixdown was completed on November 13, and a final audio mixdown on November 18. On November 27, a series of copies of the film were created for viewing, and at 4 o'clock that afternoon, editing finally wrapped.

The cast and crew premier was staged on Saturday, January 17th, although, unfortunately, neither Martin nor cast member Una McCormack could attend. All in all, the reviews were extremely promising, however, a number of problems were noticed which Stephen and Andy had missed during editing. Most of these errors have by now been corrected, although there is still a slight problem with one piece of music, which will hopefully be fixed next week.

BREAKING NEWS

There has been some exciting news regards the possible future of Cassandra, plus a return to the fold of one of the orignal founders of CherryPie Productions. Due to this, both the IFI premier and the general release have been suspended for the time being while the producers are in negotiations for a new deal.

Watch this space, it could be big.
