| Company Mission Mission Statement Our mission here at CherryPie Productions is a simple and common one: we aim to make low budget films and theatrical productions with a professional approach and attitude. These productions will hopefully not only entertain but instruct, inform and enlighten. The majority of our work is for the more culturally astute person, with a keen appreciation and a vast (to limited) understanding of the arts (principally literature), plus interests in psychology, philosophy and religion. Most of our product originates in some way shape or form in the literary sphere (whether it be theatre works, films adaptations or simply a central idea coming from another source), which reflects the academic background many of us possess. For a venture to get the backing of CherryPie Productions (in the theatre such backing would usually involve the usage of a stage, and in film, the usage of limited equipment) at least one member of the CherryPie team must have a creative input into the piece (usually director, but also producer, writer, set designer, even leading actor). Our number one priority is, above all, to produce wholly original, and in some way shape or form innovative, work which will challange as well as please the audience. Any non original work must approach the old form in a new manner relating to either how it is produced or how it is to be interpreted.
