the kills

As The Kills take to the stage in front of a packed venue they initially appear apprehensive, like a pair of shy children. Within seconds VV starts to scream like a woman possessed by the spirit of a hundred tortured souls, followed moments later with her maniacal convulsing which signals the start "Black Rooster".

Although every Kills performance we've ever seen has been fantastic, nothing could have prepared us tonight's show.  The Kills are famed for having a charged chemistry on stage, but tonight not only are they positively electric, oozing sex appeal, almost on the edge of violence, which in itself makes for a truly compelling show, but they are playing better than ever, with more emotion, passion and heart.
After what felt like minutes the Kills left the stage to rapturous applause.  To the crowd, and EWO's delight there was a flicker of light to the side of the stage and VV appeared, returning alone for an encore of the breath taking "Gypsy Death and You".  This rendition shows just how talented VV is, her voice so versatile that she can seamlessly move from the moans and screams of the first hour, to a soft, positively beautiful voice. When Hotel returned to the stage, brimming with pride, there was time for one final track, and then within a flash they were gone, once again leaving us wanting, no, needing more, when lo and behold they returned one final time arm in arm.  Unfortunately for us it was just to say 'thank you'.  It would seem that it has been an amazing night which ever side of the stage you were on.
