Aberfeldy - everything Belle & Sebastian dream of being, but don't seem to quite achieve. They're charming, heart breaking and above all an absolute joy to listen to. Their debut album, Young Forever, was one of THE albums of 2004, although I'm sure it passed by a lot of you, but with the release of their latest single 'Love Is An Arrow' they seem to finally be getting a little of the recognition they've so rightfully earned. A bittersweet tale of love and loss, with a tear inducing video to boot, its the perfect choice for a valentines day release. Described as Brian Wilsons Scottish cousins, its high praise indeed, and well deserved. It's time the world were made aware of this staggering band.
