In April 2006 I went to Duluth with Heidi, mom, and grandma to see grandma's sister, Aggie, and grandpa dockter's sister, Emma. We left on Thursday night and stayed in Black River Falls and the Moose Lodge.

Grandma and Mom thought the elevator was hysterical...

We made it to Duluth on Friday around 1:00 and then went to see Aggie. She can't see that well but as soon as grandma told her that her name was Clara then Aggie knew she was her sister.

Grandma & Aggie......Aggie & the Twins......Mom & Aggie...

We spent a good hour and a half with her and then since Minneapolis isn't that far from here, Aunt Penny, Uncle Mark, Aunt Candy, and Uncle Richard joined us. We went to dinner at this bar & grill called Grandma's, where I rode a horse, for Candy's birthday, it was pretty good, but she didn't do her blow job properly, cheater!!

On Saturday we took a tour of Glensheen Mansion, which is a beautiful mansion that was owned by the richest man in Minnesota. The youngest daughter was murdered in the house by her son-in-law and I read the guide book before the tour so I could let our group know what was going on. Most of the house was in its original format which made it all the more interesting.

This is the back of Glensheen Mansion.

We're on the pier at the mansion.

We ate lunch at this restaurant called The Black Woods. It was kind of pricey for lunch, but the portions were huge and the food was very good. Then we went shopping, yep, at stores that we have here in Wisconsin! I guess that's not entirely true, we shopped a little bit at the Canal St specialty shops but then we went to Kohl's, K-Mart, JcPenney, places like that. And then we ate at Ground Round where Candy droke everybody's drinks.

The MN clan left on Sunday and the rest of us visited Aggie again, then took Emma (Grandpa Dockter's sister) out to lunch and went back to her apartment and looked at all of the stuff that she's made. Then we went to Manitou Falls, that tallest waterfall in Wisconsin, pretty cool. Aftewards, Cold Stone Creamery was calling our name so we had to try it out.

On the way home, Grandma sat in the backseat with me so I could show her how to use her phone.

Monday brought us home and an end to our girls weekend.
