Have received feedback on my research statement from Faydra. Am now embroiled in a battle with myself to come up with an umbrella question through which I can interrogate the intermarriage narrative... Also, should I go by genre, decade, or even directors? How best to compare these films?? I am a little lost and confused. In some ways I have too much material.

It is clearly time to head back to the sources, both bibliographic and film wise, and see what they can tell me. Time for some root beer (my favourite sedative in times of mental crisis) and find a center again with this project. I have to defeat the idea that I am just not ready to write a proposal.

And, yes, I also still have comp reading, which is as fun as a tack in the shoe while trying to conquer a bear.
