Got word yesterday that my second comp list may be approved all around. Also, my Advisor is pleased with my language proposal and supports my hope that I may not have to write the language exam. Still have not heard back from the conference. Am on a mini-break until Tuesday, at which time all projects will resume. The priorities are: (1) Dissertation proposal (due August 4); (2) comp reading (4 books this month); (3) RA duties; (4) Funding proposals and loan application/ registration for next year; (5) Conference proposal (due August 30).
