Today I wrote the first draft of my language proposal, proposing French as the language best suited to fulfill my language requirements. I sent off this first draft to my Advisor, and will send it to my other committee members as soon as it is given initial approval.

I revised my second comp list again to include works more suited to my dissertation research, including the areas of intermarriage and essentialism. I sent this new, annotated, draft to my Advisor.

On Saturday (June 30), I submitted my Patai Prize entry. Results will be sent out in September.

I have begun my application for the Helmut Braun Memorial Award, due on the 30th of July. Results will be made public by August 30th.

This week, I anticipate hearing back from one conference.

This week, I will return to comp reading. Because of delays, I must now double up my reading schedule for the rest of the summer.
