I have decided to submit a piece for the Raphael Patai Prize this year, but the deadline is in two weeks, so I am under the gun. The next week will be spent in re-writes and additions, and the second week will (hopefully) be spent consulting with editors and readers to polish the thing. Wish me luck! (I have also submitted my name for a book review assignment, as this seems like an economical and beginner-level step towards publication gathering.) I hope that some or all of these projects may bloom before OGS/SSHRC season. My conference application has been received, and I expect to hear word in early July.
