Wednesday 13th August
Peter Doherty who was recently arrested for burgling bandmate Carl Barat's flat has pleaded guilty in court and will be sentenced in September.
The res of the band have gone off to America to do some gigs over the sea leaving Peter behind, and temporarily replacing him with an american guitarist who was chosen after an audition in New York. With Adam Green supporting at some venues, the dates are all posted on the Tour page. Apparently the band are fairing well and getting a good reception from fans in America.
Saturday 19th October
On Wednesday October 8th, Peter Doherty was released from prison, and immediatly reunited with band mate and best friend Carl Barat.
Later, a bigger reunion took place. The same night of his release, Peter was due to play a set at the Tap n Tin pub in Chatham, Kent. He was joined onsatge with the full Libertines - Carl Barat, John Hassall, Gary Powell - and the audience was overcome with joy. The band have since played a string of sets in small clubs. a final conclusion can be made from these events, and a happy conclusion it is indeed.
