| The Task: Become active, do something... President Muffinton has charged you wtih the task of forming a community service organization. What is your interest? Volunteering? Environmental issues? Social Issues? Whatever you are interested in, do some research and learn what it takes to do the job. President Muffington is counting on you to describe a problem and figure out how to get people to help. Once you have done your research, prepare a report for President Muffington and a poster to demonstrate what you have learned. |

| Learn as much as you can about this problem. Prepare a report for President Muffington and plan an "awareness" event for 100 people. You must also find the cost of hosting this event (food costs, the cost to rent a space to hold your event, and what ever extra things you think you need to buy). You should include some type of poster to help create awareness among your fellow students. |

| Have you ever heard that it is better to give than to receive? Learn all about volunteering here. Pick one way in which to volunteer from the list on the website. Take a class poll and make a chart showing where your classmates like to volunteer and what they do. Prepare a poster and a report for President Muffington to explain your findings. |

| Learn about Global Climate change here. Read about the vairous issues causing out earth's climate to change. Once you have learned why, take a look around your school. How many ways are there to reduce the use of many of the causes of climate change? Create a chart showing how doing a few simply things around the school can be a big help for our environment. Write a report for President Muffington explaining to him what changes we should make and why. |
