My gosh! It's been ages since I have updated the website.  My apologies!!  Looks like I let summer slide by.   Well, where to start.  We had a great summer!  Went on 3 vacations.  Long Beach WA,  Salt Lake, and Santa Cruz CA.  We just got back from Santa Cruz last week.  Sort of an end of summer thing.  Hannah and Heather are both in preschool this year.  They go Mondays and Wednesdays with Heather in the AM and Hannah in the PM.  It seems to be working out well that way and I am not going crazy with the driving yet.  Dave helps out a lot by taking Heather in the morning.  Then he is usually home on Mon and Wed's so I can leave Heather home napping while I go pick up Hannah at 3.   That's been a life saver since it is so hard to get kids out of bed and going after a nap, especially when it has to end early.   Both girls are doing great and enjoying fall.  They are looking forward to halloween already, noticing the leaves changing, the cooler weather and most of all the halloween stuff in the stores.  We all thought summer was too short but enjoying fall now.   Hannah is in the Pre-K class (she calls it that to distinguish it from Heather's class, which is virtually the same).   She is learning to write out letters and working on writing her name.  Of course I am all concerned that she is behind, but relieved to know that I have some friends who's children are basically doing the same thing as Hannah right now.  Hannah loves to write "H" on everything, and she can even write the lower case "h".  But, she gets hung up on having everything look perfect so she doesn't really even try to write the other letters.  You could say she is a perfectionist.  She is so smart!  She knows all her ABC's now, (thanks to Leap Frog videos) and can even read some 3 letter words, like Cat, Hat, and Bat!!  She sounds it all out.  We are so proud of her!!  Hannah wants to know everything about everything and it's super cute  when she repeats what she knows back to us and tells us like we don't know.  I love it when she starts embellishing a story or fact.  She is so creative that way!   Heather is really enjoying preschool.  She is so opposite of Hannah with the drop off's.   She just runs in and never looks back.  No goodbyes or anything.  It's great though because we never have to worry about her having fun or not.  We know she is.  She know's all her ABC's too and all the sounds, also thanks to the Leap Frog videos!!  She and Hannah play together soo well.  They play AND they fight.  It's great that they like to play with each other.  Hannah is definately the Boss of Play though.  She tries to dictate which pretend game they will play (dolls, ducks or whatever) and then picks out certain toys for Heather to hold.  Often times Heather will just take it and play along.  Other times Heather doesn't want anything to do with it, because she'll be playing doggie or whatever and Hannah just insists and insists and insists until there is a huge battle.    Hannah's favorite toys lately have been her baby dolls and cat or dog toys.  Heather loves the same toys too, so it's been working out well.   We bought them each a stuffed kitty cat at the airport on the way to California when the plane was delayed and they carried them around and played together with them the whole vacation, well, until we bought them a toy at the aquarium. Heather loves to pour me "tea" and she makes me make a little cup with my hand.  Her hand is the teapot and she pours it through her thumb "spout".  Hannah likes to put the foam on top and make it a latte. :)

Some cute words they say....  Heather - DingBell (doorbell) and Hannah - walkcross (crosswalk)

Here is Hannah on her birthday..
