Hope you are enjoying the fall weather and upcoming Halloween! We are when it isn't raining! Hannah is so excited to be a gray kitty cat this year. She chose her costume months ago. She was so excited to get to wear it at a halloween party last friday and to get whiskers and her nose painted. I made a matching outfit for Heather too and I think they both turned out rather well!
Heather is doing so much! She just started saying Mamamama this weekend! Now it is non-stop. It started with "mmmmm" which she says when she is eating. It is very cute. We gave her an oatmeal cookie last week and said to her "mmmm Heather, good" and she said "mmmm" right back! Hasn't stopped since. It doesn't matter what she eats but if she likes it we get a bigger and louder "mmmmm". Heather will also feed you her food as well. Mostly cute but usually pretty gross! ;) She also says what sounds like "duck" but I am sure it means "that" all the time. She isn't pointing at things yet but will try to reach whatever she is saying "that" too. Heather really wants to walk. She is so strong and she can stand up at the coffee table or other low surface for a very long time. It is so fun to watch her tiny legs take steps when we hold her hands. She loves it too. We practice walking all over the house, and sometimes down the street to see the halloween lights. Heather is wearing the little size 2 keds that Hannah wore. They are soooo tiny! :)
Hannah is still enjoying being the big sister. She tells me all the time that she is the big sister and a big girl and that she is growing and that Heather is tiny. We go to kindermusik every wednesday morning ("Heather's music class") and Hannah was kind of jealous about it. But there are 2 other big sisters in that class, and I told her it was a special class just for big sisters. Now she loves it!! She helps or we bring her own baby doll to be mommy to. She really wants me to sign her up and asks me "where is Hannah's music class". I need to get her signed up. Both Hannah and Heather LOVE music! Hannah is getting to be such a big girl. She can get dressed by herself with a tiny bit of help if she feels so motivated and she is getting there towards potty training. Although I am not pushing her with it, we did go out and get her some "big girl underwear" but they are going to stay in the drawer for a bit longer. Hopefully by christmas we can try them out. Hannah loves to watch us cook nowaday's and is up on a chair to watch whenever she can. It has been fun cooking with her when I can get the chance. Heather is so fast crawling around the house that I really have to watch her every second. So, we haven't had that much time for cooking. We plan to frost cookies on halloween night together.
Here are some pics of us in our halloween costumes and all of us in the pumpkin patch. |
