December
Town Board Meeting Minutes
The
chairman called the December meeting to order, all members were
present. Minutes of the November meeting were read. Motion to approve
was made by Supervisor Geiger, 2nd by Supervisor Brick, motion carried.
The chairman then had Atty. Sickle explain the barking dog ordinance
and the procedure to have it become effective. The chairman stated he
had received written complaints and several phone calls regarding
barking dogs. A motion to pass the ordinance was
made by Supervisor
Geiger and 2nd by Supervisor Brick. Motion passed.
Supervisor
Geiger gave a report on the PCB meeting in De Pere. he stated how the
hot spots were located and marked. The sludge from the Upper Fox is
being sent to Chilton landfill and all options are still being
considered for the Lower Fox. Supervisor Brick stated it would be
several years before the operation would take place.
The
next item discussed was the smoke complaint that was brought to the
board. Mr. Spandenberg said the smoke was affecting his health and
dangerous when lying on the road. Mrs. Holzschul stated the smoke came
down the field to their farm. Mr, Kettles said he has raised the smoke
stack and fires every two hours. Mr. Spandenberg asked if
only wood was being burnt, Mr. Kettles responded nothing else. Mr.
Kettles stated he has gone to different manufacturers to get the best
information on wood furnaces. He further stated that the DNR and Bldg
Inspector have checked his operation. A motion by Supervisor Geiger 2nd
by Supv. Brick to give Mr. Kettles time to raise his smoke stack and
comply to the request to solve the problem. Motion passed. The chairman
then stated that the Bldg. Inspector would check out Mr. Kettles'
showroom and it must comply to Town regulations.
The
bills were presented a motion to pay was made by Supv. Brick, 2nd by
Supv. Geiger. A friendly amendment was made by Supv. Geiger to also pay
the bill from Attys. Sickle and Popptele. Motion passed 3-0. Motion to
adjourn by Supv. Brick, 2nd by Supv. Geiger. Passed.
