Board of Holland
November Meeting
The Town Board of Holland met for their monthly
meeting on Monday, November 7th, at 8 PM.
A motion was made to approve the minutes of the
October meeting by Supervisor Geiger, seconded by
Supervisor Brick. The motion was passed.
Supervisor Geiger made a motion to set the Budget
Hearing for November 21st at 8 PM. Motion was
seconded by Supervisor Brick, motion was passed.
Chairman Wall made three appointments: Tom
VandeWettering as Zoning Administrator, Bud Gerrits as
as Chairman of the Zoning Board, and Ray Haen as a
Zoning Board member. Motion to approve was made by
Supervisor Brick and seconded by Supervisor Geiger.
Motion was approved.
Attorney Jim Sickle gave a report to the Board
regarding the creation of a Municipal Court with the
Village of Wrightstown. He stated that there were
other other towns interested in such a partnership.
He will try to plan a meeting for all those involved
and formulate a plan to find common ground for all
parties. He further stated, that the village would
like to wait until after April to begin the process.
A motion was made by Supervisor Geiger to draft a
resolution to join the Village Municipal Court.
Supervisor Brick seconded the motion, the motion was
passed.
The Town Board has decided to wait one year before
looking for another insurance carrier.
Supervisor Brick was directed to look into security
for the Askeaton Ball Park.
Supervisor Geiger gave a report on the Fox River
Dredgings and stated that there wasn’t any more
information available, other than the additional hot
spots found and no definite site for disposal was
made.
Chairman Wall appointed Doug Verbaten to the Appeals
Board. Appointment was seconded by Supervisor Brick,
motion was passed.
Motion was made by Supervisor Geiger to pay the Town’s
bills. Seconded by Supervisor Brick, motion was
passed.
Motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Supervisor
Brick. Motion was seconded by Supervisor Geiger,
motion was passed. Meeting was adjourned.
