November 2, 2004:

       Minutes of October meeting were approved.

      The town board of Holland met Monday, November 2nd, 2004, at 8:00 p.m.

Item 1.

       The retention pond on Brookside Estate was discussed. The pond was moved to the second     location , and all parties were agreeable.  Supvisor Geiger made the motion to approve, a                 second by Supervisor Brick, motion passed 3-0.

Item 2.

       Brian Cavanaugh appeard before the board proposing the snowmobile route going through            the  former Stock property, 2/10 mile on the town rod, to Lovers Lane east to Hwy. 57. The              club will purchase and install signs and remove.  The season will be from Dec. 1 to April 1. 
       The club will look at other trails as well.

Item 3.

    Water drainage in Hollandtown. A single tile  will be done when Mr. Biese's field of beans are  harvested an 8' tile would be installed at 92 cents a square foot.

Item 4.

    Arron Schmidt appeared before the board with a request to build an ag. building on  a 30.7 acre parcel.  Land would be leased for farm purposes. Supervisor Brick made a motion to approve,  seconded by Supervisor Geiger. Motion passed 3-0. Follow with letter of permission.

Item 5.

    Race track. Three complaints were made against a race track, as property is zoned Ag. Atty. Sickle will send letter of violation with fines of $10.00 to $200. per day until he complies. Mr. Sickle stated the zoning board can inspect the property . Both property owners are to be notified, Debbie Phillips and Shane Phillips.

Item 6.

Treasurer Bond. Motion by Supervisor Brick to have Mr. Sickle draw up a resolution stating the towns' insurance would cover the treasurer bond 2nd by Supervisor Geiger. Motion passed 3-0.
       

All bills were presented, a motion to pay was made by Supervisor Geiger, seconded by Supervisor Brick.  Motion passed 3-0. A date for the budget hearing to be set when public notices can be placed in the paper - tenitively, November 18th @ 8p.m. It was noted that the Comprehensive Plan meeting would be held November 16. Supervisor Brick motioned to adjourn, seconded by Supervisor Geiger. Chairman then adjourned the meeting.
