October 2005 Town Board Meeting Minutes

The Town Board of Holland met for their monthly
meeting October 3rd, 2005 at 8 PM.  All members were
present.  Minutes of the September meeting were read.
A motion by Supervisor Geiger was made to approve the
minutes was passed to accept the minutes. the motion
was seconded by Supervisor Brick; motion passed.

Town Attorney spoke regarding the use of the
Wrightstown Village municipal court to enforce our
town ordinances, DePere may be another option.  The
town must pass an ordinance to be legal and/ or intergovernmental agreement.  Cost would have to be determined and a fee schedule set up.  He would meet October 13th with Attorney Gogan to discuss. 

Motion to set meeting with the Village of Wrightstown
to explore possibilities by Supervisor Geiger;
seconded by Supervisor Brick; motion passed.

The Chairman stated that a stop sign had to erected at
Wooden Circle and Mindy Court.  A motion to approve
sign was made by Supervisor Geiger, seconded by
Supervisor Brick.  Motion was passed

The Chairman also stated that a request had been made
to establish a speed limit of 35 MPH on Gerrits Road.
A motion to approve the sign and limit was made by
Supervisor Brick, seconded by Supervisor Geiger.
Motion was passed.

Dale Haese spoke before the board and stated that he
had received an injury claim from an incident at the
ball park and asked why should he be named.  Attorney
Sickle stated that as President it was a routine legal procedure. He also stated that the Ball Club is an L.L.C. and a not for profit; therefore, there are little liquid assets.  Supervisor Geiger stated that the collection agency was informed of the accident and that they are an L.L.C.  and have non-profit status.

A motion made by Supervisor Brick to have Attorney
Sickle write a letter to the collection agency
informing them of the Askeaton Softball Club’s L.L.C.
status and of the incident.  Seconded by Supervisor
Geiger.  Motion Passed.


Dale Haese thanked the Town Board for their help in
the past and wants to continue to have good relations
in the future.

There was much discussion about grounds upkeep, grass
cutting and repairs.  Supervisor Geiger stated that he
would meet with both Hollandtown and Askeaton parks to
have a better understanding of how the problems could
be resolved.

The bills were reviewed and a motion to pay was made
by Supervisor Geiger, seconded by Supervisor Brick.
Motion passed.

Being that there was no other business, motion to
adjourn was made by Supervisor Brick.  Motion was
seconded by Supervisor Geiger.  Motion was passed,
meeting closed at 10:50 PM.
