Town Board Meeting Minutes
The
Town Board of Holland met Monday May 2nd. All members were present. The
minutes of the April meeting were read. A motion to approve was made by
Supervisor Geiger 2nd by Supervisor Brick. Motion approved 3-0.
Bills were presented, a motion to approve payment was made by
Supervisor Geiger, 2nd by Supervisor Brick, approved 3-0.
The Chairman presented the bids for stone, motion to accept by
Supervisor Geiger, 2nd by Supervisor Brick approved 3-0.
The Board set June 1 for the Board of Review. 2pm to 4pm.
Report by attorney SIckel re: water to area outside the Town of
Holland. It is ok, but once it is done it is difficult to stop service.
Petition must come from interested parties stating need, size, and cost
. After receiving, a public hearing must be held in 30 days. Then, the
Board will act. He stated that there could be up to 144 lots in this
development. The district now uses 4 million gallons of water per year
and that could double. Outagamie County has a rule in effect all
wells must be cased to the bottom and wells now cost $20,000 +.
The feeling of the Board was there wasn't enough information to
make a decision, Chairman Hall made a motion to table for 30 days.
2nd by Supervisor Brick. Motion passed 3-0.
The parties regarding the race track, 4 wheeler adn bikes, presented
the case that the neighbors were not in opposition and stated that the
noise from the vehicles were in compliance. Attorney SIckle stated
that if this turned into a commercial venture there would be a
problem. Supervisor Geiger made the motion that if all of the
requirements were met it would be o.k. A 2nd was given by
Chairman Wall with the understanding that if complaints come they would
have to answer to them. Motion passed 3-0.
Doug Verbaten asked if the add on insurance was in effect. Supervisor
Geiger stated that an overall evaluation was being done by Rural Mutual
. Lauren Rick asked what the Board of Review was. The Chairman
explained. Tax assessor Zacharis explained how Ag and Woodland was
evaluated.
Scott Construction representative John Delmar presented a bid of
$130572.00 for road work. A motion by Supervisor Brick 2nd by
Supervisor Geiger to approve. Motion passed 3-0. Being no other
business, a motion to adjourn by Supervisor Brick, 2nd by Supervisor
Geiger. Meeting adjourned.
