Hollandtown Town Board Meeting Minutes
The
town board met, all members were
present. The minutes were read, Motion to approve
was made by Supervisor Geiger, 2nd by Supervisor Brick, motion passed
3-0.
Supervisor Geiger gave a report on whether the fire District lines
should be changed and his conclusions after investigating he stated
they should remain the same as they are now. He then made a motion to
that and a 2nd was given by Supervisor Brick, motion passed 3-0.
The next item was a presentation by Maritime Insurance agent Lawrence
Hansen. $2m liability
coverage (same as Rural) but is per claim no max no aggregate.
Injunctive relief. When a group sues to get you to change decision on a
motion (zoning) over legal fees in non financial matters
claims suit. Property is not included but it is in St. Gov. Prop. Fund.
There is need for separate
Treasurer Bond. The Ball Park is covered and town sponsored events.
Other organizations would have to carry their own insurance. Agent
Hanssen stated claims are handled in house and he is
always available for consultation.
Base Rates haven't changed since 1988 & are based on expenditures.
Supervisor Geiger made the motion to accept Maritime's offer because of
better coverage, rates, long term liability. Then added to hold till
the Rural Agent could reply and then make a decision. On an other item
Mr. Sickel would write a letter stating the dog wasn't incompliance
with the ordinance and action would be taken.
The chairman stated the planning board fee should be raised
$10.00. He made a motion that it would be $30.00 per meeting 2nd by
Supervisor Brick, passed 3-0. Chairman Wall stated he had
the property releases for new road. The owners would receive $500
a piece. The towns new web site is www.hollandwi.us. Meeting
adjourned Supervisor Brick 2nd Supervisor Geiger. Motion passed
3-0.
