Hollandtown Town Board Meeting Minutes
The
chairman called the February meeting to order at 8 p.m.,
A special presentation was given by Synergy, a group formed to
eliminate the PCB's being landfilled. Their process cost has come down
from $50- $80 per ton to $30 - $45 per ton delivered to their site. The
material residue could be used in roofing and road projects. The Board
was in full support of their efforts and suggested they approach the
County Solid Waste board.
1. Minutes of the January meeting were read. Motion to approve
was made by Supervisor Brick, 2nd by Supervisor Geiger, motion passed

2. Update by Atty. Sickle. The dog ordinance could be hard to enforce
as the Town doesnt have a Constable or Justice of the Peace and if the
person charged could ask for a court hearing and cost could run high.
He suggested a letter from his office telling the owner telling of his
non compliance and there could be fines.
3. In another matter the people who built a 4 wheeler and auto obstacle
course on property off Mill rd. was addressed. Atty Sickle stated
since no permits were issued and this land was not rezoned and was in
violation of the Farmland Preservation Act. He would give written
notice of non-compliance and mail to all parties.
