The enclosed file AIRLINE8.IZL is a - not even - half-finished project I started some time ago. Hopefully it will develop into a trading game someday. (Concept: You have an airline and have to transport passengers around the world for profit. - Something like Railroad Tycoon on a much smaller scale).

There is a long way to go to achieve this and I don't know if it will ever happen.

However, I am making this file available to show that it is indeed possible to use simple graphics in IZL. The world map I used here is a conversion of the one found in the "Clip Art Sampler". I reduced its size to 90x52, converted it into RAW format and then used another, temporary, IZL tool to calculate "x" location, "y" location and "a" number of pixels of the same colour on a horizontal line. I saved these numbers in variables and then made IZL draw green lines on a blue background. To see this nice world map appear on my screen for the first time was a truely exciting experience!

The downside is that this method does not work automatically for any image you have at hand. I am looking into ways to import 16 colour PCX images. Just watch this space...

It would be nice to hear if you find this useful. :-)
