Assignment #6 (March) - Talismans

This assignment is due May 31st and is worth 30 points.

This assignment is a little more writing-intensive than previous assignments. But, it's nothing you can't handle! Just remember to put your answers into complete sentences.

1) What are amulets specifically designed to do? How are they different from Talismans?

2) Where did archaeologists discover papyrus talismans? Where did they discover stone and metal talismans? What were they used for?

3) Describe the effects of the following:
a) Tying a hare's foot to the left arm.
b) Carrying mistletoe.
c) Having a sprig of the herb heliotrope bundled with a wolf's tooth and wrapped in laurel leaves.

4) What were the effects of the "all-purpose" talismans?

5) If you could only have one talisman, what would be it's special power? What would it be (ex. book, necklace, etc.)?
