| Welcome back everyone! Thanks to all those of you that completed lesson 1. Here is what I'm sure you been waiting for, LESSON 2: The following are more classifications of myths, other than what we talked about in Lesson 1: Ritaul myths: explain the performance of certain religious practices or patterns and is usually associated with temples or other centers of worship. Origin myths: describe the beginnings of a custom. name, or object Cult myths: often seen as explanations for elaborate festivals that magnify the power of a certain deity Prestige myths: usually associated with a divinely chosen hero, city, or people Eschatological myths: Big name, but pretty simple explanation. These are stories which describe catastrophic ends to the present world order of the writers. An example of this is the Christian belief of Jesus' second coming.
