just got home from school
its 11:04
and i am in love
2 more days till my aniversary
with my sweet girl Amanda
3 more weeks till i graduate
from itt
in 3 weeks i'll be out of school
forever
i'll have to get a job
but i dont want to think about that right now
cause i like where i am
i like going to see Amanda in the morning
and going to school at night
i like saying "hi" to Ana when i get to work at 5:23 in the morning
and i like talking to Annette about the ups and downs of life
i like being surrounded by girls at work
not only because it makes me the only guy
but because i can honestly relate to girls better than guys
and i like when Amanda comes to see me at work
and i like even more to come see her at school
we sit on the red benches by the statue of Sammy Saxon
and kiss
for as long as we want
i love laying on Amanda's shoulder
resting my hand on her leg
closing my eyes
and listening to the birds
the wind is so gentle and lovely in these quiet moments

some things may change as i grow
but i hope those that matter most will stay the same
because i am in love
