| Take a look, there is no way to pronounce certain syllables in Japanese. For example CD is pronounce shi-D. |
| Some common mispronunciations |
| It can be very difficult to correct pronunciation mistakes. Such as when everyone in the class says "basket" correctly, but as soon as they leave the class room, it's "basketo." However little by little the students do pick up on the differences. I only wish more emphasis would be put on pronunciation at the lower levels. * In the past year their has been a push from the Board of education to correct this problem. They have begun to incorporate english in their daily curriculim. |
