HO Hot Rod Association
Our mission is to provide a consistent platform of competition and an atmosphere reminiscent of the golden years of early drag racing in the United States.
The rule structure provides levels of competition for beginner and advanced together without favoring either while fostering an atmosphere of fun for all.
We sanction drag races on HO scale (1/64th to 1/87th) drag strips ranging from 1/8th mile to ¼ mile.
Track guidelines:
Certain local track preferences may be admitted provided they are within the overall vision of the HOHRA and HO Racing Association of St. Louis (HORA-STL).
Overall car guidelines:

Awards & Recognition
Points are awarded according to the HOHRA Point Schedule. At the conclusion of the racing season/year, we will name the winners from classes that were run as a series over the year.
An overall winner is determined as follows: When 7 or less events are held, the worst (lowest # of points scored at a single event) result for each entrant will be dropped. If there are 8 to 10 events, the 2 lowest will be dropped. For 11 or more events within a season/year, 3 will be dropped.
All entrants will receive box plates (brass ¾" x 3" plates) at each sanctioned event.
Top Eliminator, Runner-up, Top Qualifier, record ET’s receive special plates designating their accomplishment.
The HOHRA will award a "traveling trophy" with the "T-Jet Brackets" overall winner’s name.
A "Top Dragster" will be crowned at seasons/years end also and receive a trophy if other classes were also ran during the past year.
Race Procedures
For events in conjunction with the HORA of St. Louis, the primary format to be used will be the "Double 32 Eliminations" and the primary class raced will be T-jet Brackets at each event. An "event" is defined as a scheduled HOMRC race date.
Depending upon time available, number of potential entries and racer interest, one of the following 4 formats will be used for secondary informal non-points classes at any event. For race dates other than regularly scheduled HOMRC events, other classes maybe used for specific point series on a rotational basis (different class at each event).
Quick-16 Eliminations
Only the fastest 16 cars enter into elimination (caveat: if fewer than 16 drivers/entrants, than a 2nd car (next fastest) may be entered to fill out the 16 car field.
Single elimination format (one loss)
Top 32 Eliminations
Only the fastest 32 cars enter into elimination (caveat: if fewer than 32 drivers/entrants, than a 2nd car (next fastest) may be entered to fill out the 32 car field.

Double 16 Eliminations
Only the fastest 16 cars enter into elimination (caveat: if fewer than 16 drivers/entrants, than a 2nd car (next fastest) may be entered to fill out the 16 car field.
Double elimination format (two losses) uses the first round losses (and subsequent race losses when it is that racers first loss with a specific car (if more than one is entered)) to fill out the "Loser’s Bracket" side of the elimination tree.

Qualifications
All cars presented for competition must first pass technical inspection. Those passing are then allowed to make qualifying runs.
Qualifying order is done on a first come, first served basis or random order with each entrant completing one qualifying run in each lane to determine seed placement in the Eliminations tree.
