These are my opinions on all of the books, I have reveiwed them thoroughly and here they are. Please note that if you have not read all the books including 5 you will find some spoilers.
Ratings are 1-5 stars, 5 being the best.(All Harry Potter books deserve a five star rating, this is just between these books.)
Book 1

Reveiw:This book isn't my favorite Harry Potter book, but it has a very special place in my heart, because this is was got me started on the whole Harry Potter thing. You get introduced to all the characters here, that is why the beginning is kind of slow. But for some reason I was attached at the first sentence: "Mr. and Mrs. Dursley of number 4 Privet Drive were happy to say they were perfectly normal thank you very much." I don't know why but for some reason those words just had me hooked. Every detail in the book is so well thought out that I just couldn't stop reading. The book is fantastic. I thought J.K. Rowling was the cleverest person alive, especially when I realized that the reaading on the mirror of Erised read backwords said "I show not your face but your hearts desire" I thought that was so clever. My feelings about this book are so complex that I can't even write them (type) down. This book really great.
Book 2

Reveiw:The Chamber of Secrets I think is a really great book. The idea that a diary can have so much power is really appealing to me. If you have watched the interview with J.K. Rowling on the "Chamber of Secrets" DVD then this will sound familiar. It is actually like she said, the diary is just like the internet, you are talking to someone and they are talking to you and you have no real idea of who these people are. The idea is entrancing.I particullarliy love how Tom Riddle chose Ginny Weasley as his host (well technically he didn't, Lucius Malfoy did, but anyway) is brilliant, he can take an innocent girl, and put her in a trance to do all these things.
Book 3

Reveiw: The prsoner of Azkaban has to be my favorite Harry Potter book to date. The plot is great. ANd this is where one of my favorite characters comes into play. I absolutely adore Sirius. He is a great character for many reasons. He has the heasrt of a rebel, yet he needs someone to be able to share his feelings with. He loves Harry so much, even though they have really just met. He acts like he can do everything on his own, when he knows he can't. There is a lot more to him than the rest of the world sees. I admire that. Another character in this book I love is Lupin.He makes learning fun. Anyone that can do that is a good person to me.He also tries ot make the best of everything, a second admirable quality. But I think the thing that I was most drawm to about him was when they were in the Shreiking Shack and he beleived that Sirius was a murder for almost 13 years and yet he so willingly helped Sirius off the floor, by just his word. If he can still trust him after that long he truly has a good heart.
