| What you need to play Quidditch |
| To play Quidditch all you need is 14 players, 14 broom sticks, a small golden ball with wings, 1 orange ball that doesn't fly, 2 black balls that are very violent, 4 bats, a pitch and 6 giant poles with circles on the end. |

| The Props of Quidditch |

| Bludgers - These balls fly around, trying to knock players off their brooms to make the game more interesting. Bludgers can be extremely dangerous and it takes a good broom flyer to loose one if it is chasing them. |

| Quaffle - The quaffle does not move on it's own. It is the size of a soccer ball and it is orange. It must go through the goal posts to earn 10 points. |

| Snitch - The snitch is the most important ball in the game. It is very fast and hard to see. It is the size of a walnut and it has powerful wings onit's sides. |

| Goal Posts - There are three goal posts at each end of the pitch. A chaser must throw the opposition's quaffle through 1 goalpost to earn 10 points for their team. |
| Bats - The bats are used to hit the bludgers away. |

| Broomsticks - The brromsticks are the most important part of the game. Every player requires a flying broom to fly around the pitch to play quidditch. |

| The Quidditch Players |
| Chasers - One team has 3 chasers. The chasres job is to get possesion of the quaffle and shoot the quaffle into one of the opposition's goal posts. When a chaser has scored they will earn their team 10 points. |
| Goal Keeper - The goal keeper's job is to guard his/her team's goal posts to stop the opposition scoring. The have to try and catch the quaffle if the opposition's chasers shoot to stop the other team winning ten points. There is one goal keeper on each side. |
| Beaters - There are 2 beaters per team and each beater has a bat. The beaters have to hit the bludgers with their bats to protect their team and put the opposition in danger. |
| Seeker - The seeker has to look out for the snitch. Once they have seen it they have to catch it to earn their team 150 points. There is one seeker per team and they are usually thin, small and fast on their brooms. They are also the most important players in the game. |

| Quidditch Moves |
| The Porskoff Ploy - This is when a Chaser flies upwards, causing the opposition to follow and then they drop the quaffle down to another Chaser. |
| The Wronski Defensive Feint - This move is performed by a very fast, skilled Seeker that plummets towards the ground, causing the other seeker to follow, thinking the snitch is by the ground. Then at the last second the seeker performing the move darts upwards, causing the other seeker to crash horribly to the ground if they aren't fast enough. |
| The Hawkshead Attacking Formation - This is when three chasers charge at the opposition causing the opposition to be scared. The chasers form into the shape of a "V" for this move, having one in the middle and two on each side. |
