o Said to lure children with it�s Berries

o Bouncing bulbs are used in bludgers
� The bulbs have a natural tendency to attack people
� This is one of the reasons that Bludgers focus on unseating as many players as possible
� The bulb also helps keep the balls moving
o Be careful, can cause injury if they get free

o When they start shaking in their pots, they are moved to a new patch of soil

� Appearance:
o Large white leaf shaped like a funnel or bell, leaf often mistaken for flower
� Real flowers are tiny blossoms inside the flowerlike leaf
� These blossoms are integral part of everyday life.
o The Calla herb can be used to ward of garden gnomes.
� If the blossoms are collected and ground, powder sprinkled atop the head of a garden gnome, prior to ejecting it from the garden, he will never be able to return
� Unfortunately, the Calla is rare. Rare in the sense that most gnomes will destroy the herb on sight.
o Must be grown outdoors.
o Direct sunlight for � the day, other � of the day in darkness
o Must be grown apart from any other plant.
o Contact with another root will taint the magical properties of the Calla plant
� Makes the plant very difficult to grow
o Grows in Europe, Asia, and northern U.S.
o 12 to 15 inches in height
