| Call it obsession or determination, but whatever it is, beware. This beautiful young lady has continued her cursade in the offseason to emerge as the next Hogan Superstar. As a first year rookie, her start was a rocky road to success. Like anyone on the team, she had to work hard to acheive her goals to the next level. After seasons end, she took her interest at Freestyle wrestling with the Spartan Club. Fairing well in the practice room, she then challenged the tournaments ahead of her. Jessica's first competition was the State Championships and with no warm up tournament, placed an outstounishing 2nd place in a field of All-State athletes. A couple of upsets were at hand which propelled her to the level where she now stands. She then took 1st place in the girls division and 3rd place in the boys division at the Far Western Tournament in San Francisco. With her great accomplishments USAW has selected Jessica Ortiz to represent Team California at the US National Tournament in Fargo, North Dakota. She is now in rigorous training with her coaches and will be more than prepared to compete in the worlds toughest Junior tournament. But for now you can see her as she models for various designers, prepares for her NIKE shoe adversement and grace her own jlo emagazine. Great job Jessica and Good Luck. |
