Sarah age 1 He died before 1910 in Anna, Union, IL.⁽⁷⁵⁾ not shown on 1910 census He was buried in Anna, Union, IL. He was a farmer in Williamson Co., IL. He was also known as Shadrack MCNEW. He was also known as Shadrick. ⁽¹⁷⁰⁾ He was also known as Samuel McUen. ⁽⁶⁶⁾ He was married to Louisa JACKSON about 1841 in Marion Co., TN. ⁽⁷⁵⁾ maiden name derived from daughter Tennessee's marriage cert.

45. Louisa JACKSON⁽⁶⁶⁾ was born in 1822 in Campbell Co., TN.^{(75) (170)} She died between 1880 and 1890 in Williamson Co., IL. ⁽⁷⁵⁾ probable place of death She was also known as Louisinda. ⁽⁷⁵⁾ She was also known as Jane. ⁽⁶⁶⁾ Children were:

i. Eliza MCNEW⁽⁷⁵⁾ was born about 1842 in Marion Co., TN. She died before 1870. son living with grandparents during 1870 census with no trace of Eliza, assumed dead
ii. Sarah MCNEW⁽⁷⁵⁾ was born in 1849 in Marion Co., TN.⁽⁶⁶⁾

iv. James MCNEW⁽⁷⁶⁾ was born in 1852 in Marion Co., TN. He was born between 1852 and 1854 in Marion Co., TN. He died in Union Co., IL. known as McNew by decendant Laurie <[email protected]>

"James McNew b. Jan. 1852 in Marion co. TN d. ? in Union county m. Sarah
Jane Warren in 1872 in Pope co. Il. Their children were: Tom, Willis,
Minnie, Ernie, Bertha, Elva, Effie and my great grandmother Lula
(1892-1976). There was a cousin Ella McNew who also live with them. I
know that they lived in Pope county and Union county at different times.

According to Joe Carroll, James's father was Shadrack McNew. I am not
sure about this, although Joe seems reliable. I have had several
conflicts, with George McNew possibly being James's father. Still
trying to figure this one out."

Like I said before, there was a
cousin Ella who lived with Lula. Someone in the family said they
thought her mother's name was America. I didn't know at the time if
America was a McNew or she married a McNew. Looking through records,
I see that Tennesse is America Tennessee McNew. Think that was Ella's
mother? Ella also had a brother Charles. I have some names on Ella's
children and have talked to her granddaughter.

vii. Judah MCNEW was born in 1864 in Illinois. She was also known as Judy. ⁽⁷⁶⁾
viii. John MCNEW was born in 1867 in Illinois.
