saw your file on Ancestry, John Burris, Elizabeth Boaz. They had a son
Elijah. I am of the opinion that, Elijah Burris listed in 1850 Campbell Co, TN
census records 83 years old b NC is the monarch of most of the Anderson, Campbell
& Roane Co, TN families. In the early 1800 East TN Tax Records there were
only 2 Burris families in this area. Elijah Burris & Jesse Burris. Jesse
left TN & settled in Sullivan Co, IN & later moved to Clark Co, IL. I
believe there is a possibility that Jesse & Elijah could be brothers. Would
you care to tell me where this Burris family originated from? I would appreciate
it very much.

Hello, my name is Barbara Howell. The other day I was looking up
information on the John Burris/Burroughs family on Ancestry.com and
I
found your e-mail address as a contact person. The John Burris I'm
looking for lived in Monongahelia county West Virginia after 1769.
He
had a wife named Elizabeth, with the following children listed in his
will: Boaz, Elijah, Hester Ann, Eunice and Elizabeth. I am related to
Elizabeth who married a Charles Martin. I am looking for information
you may have about where the family came from before settling in
West
Virginia and information on John Burris' parents, as well as his wife
Elizabeth.
Also, do you happen to have any of the birthdates of the children and
the place of the birth as well as death dates if known.
I appreciate your help. Please let me know if I can be of any help to
you on this family line. I do know who some of the chirldren married
and some of their children if this is of any use to you. I also have a
copy of the will of John Burris and his son Elijah and who became the
guardians of Elijah's children after his passing. Perhaps you already
