p. 2 Thomas G Boydston listed as a Postmaster in Tippecanoe Township, 1848.
He was a gold miner between 1850 and 1853 in California. He died on 17 Mar
1861 in Boydston Mills (No.Webster), Kosciusko, IN. He was also known as James
?. In the Bio on Benjamin Yohn from The Biographical and Historical Record of
Kosciusko County, IN, by The Lewis Publishing Company 1887, pg 216 to 218.
Benjamin Yohn was married to Elizabeth J. Boydston daughter of Thomas G.
and Jane (Nichols) Boydston, natives of PA. Benjamin Yohn had worked for
Thomas G. Boydston in his mill in North Webster starting in 1847. In the
spring of 1850 Mr. Boydston went to California and rented the mill to Mr.
Yohn, who ran it until it was burned in June, 1853. Mr. Boydston returned
from California in 1853 and rebuilt the mill in 1856. Thomas Boydston died
17 March 1861 aged fifty-five years, and is buried in a private
burying-ground near the grist-mill.

Dr. Benjamin S. BOYDSTON was born on 10 Mar 1809 in Green Co., PA. He was
confirmed about 1825 in Wayne Co., Ohio. first member of M.E. Church received
by Rev. Sheldon. He was Methodist Espicopal about 1825. He was ordained between
1827 and 1829 in Wayne Co., Ohio. 1827 licenced to exhort
1829 licenced to preach He was a Methodist Curcuit Preacher in 1829 in Wyandot
Co., Ohio. preached for four years; first on Wyandotte Curcuit, then for three
years on Norwalk Curcuit.
His voice then broke in 1833 and he changed to the practice of medicine. He
was taught Gen. U.S. Grant in school in 1838 in Georgetown, Brown, Ohio. He
was a School Teacher in Jan 1838 in Georgetown, Brown, Ohio. He was a Physician
between 1841 and 1889 in Clunette, Kosciusko, IN. studied under Prof. John Kost
in 1841 He was a "Underground Railroad" Volunteer before 1860 in Ohio.
He died on 24 Oct 1899 in Atwood, Kosciusko, IN. He had a funeral in Warsaw,
Wayne, Kosciusko, IN. at Methodist Church in Warsaw from obit. Warsaw Daily
Times, IN
