listed as 5 mos. old at Sept. 1850 census. He emigrated in 1861 from Missouri. He was living in 1870 in Washington TWP, Johnson, MO. (42) working on family farm. Living with parents. He was a traveling Fruit Tree Salesman in 1880 in Missouri.(43) He was living in 1880 in Knob Noster, Washington, Johnson, MO. (11) East McPherson listed as street He resided 1238 Rhode Island Street between 1882 and 1908 in Lawrence, Douglas, KS. (44) He died on 11 Nov 1908 in Lawrence, Douglas, KS. Former citizen dead--Eugene Hogan died at his home in
Lawrence, Kansas, Wednesday, Nov.11, after suffering for
some time from a complication of diseases. Mr Hogan was
born in Texas on Dec.24,1849. Later he moved with his father
to Washington, D.C. and in 1861 moved out here to Missouri.
After spending a few years in Iowa he returned to Knob Noster
and for about 30 years resided here.He moved to Kansas and
for a number of years has been a resident of Lawrence,
being engaged in selling sewing machines.He is survived by
a wife and two children, a brother and two sisters, James Hogan
of Knob Noster, Mrs Ridgeway and Mrs Miller of Memphis,
Tennessee. The deceased was a member of the Congregational church
and a gentleman of high standing. He also belonged to the
Modern Woodmen of America. Funeral services and interment
took place in Lawrence. He Died due to a complication of diseases. He was a sewing machine saleman in Lawrence, Douglas, KS. He was member of the Congregational church in Lawrence, Douglas, KS. He had a funeral Funeral services and interment in Lawrence, Douglas, KS. He was buried in Lawrence, Douglas, KS. He was a member of Modern Woodmen of America in Lawrence, Douglas, KS.
