Current Repertoire "en pointe":

2001 was the 100th anniversary of the death of Giuseppe Verdi, and many orchestras and choral organizations have scheduled performances of the Verdi Requiem.  I have prepared and coached the soprano solos in the Verdi Requiem and would be able to perform it on very short notice.  This music speaks to my heart -- 'Libera me, Domine . . .'

Mozart Requiem- One of my favorite Mozart choral works.  And Mozart treated his soprano soloists very well, giving us utterly loving and emotionally powerful music.

Brahms Requiem- The soprano solo is one of the loveliest and most heartrending arias ever written for soprano.  Whenever I am tempted to grieve that I don't have the rich contralto which would allow me to sing the Brahms "Alto Rhapsody," I remember that I can sing the soprano solo in the German Requiem.  I love it.  I could sing it tomorrow.

Faure' Requiem- The 'Pie Jesu' section is another joy for a soprano to sing.

Bach's Cantata #51 - "Jauchzet Gott in allen Landen - With Beverly Ratajak playing organ, I sang this for the 2001 Faith in Practice Benefit.  On Sunday, November 18, 2001, with Colette Schlegel playing piano, I performed the first movement during two worship services at First Presbyterian Church in Corvallis.  On Sunday, January 13, 2002, with Anna Mai Young playing piano, I performed four sections of the cantata as part of a worship service at Grace Lutheran Church in Corvallis.  On January 29, 2002, with Angela Carlson playing piano, I recorded the first two movements of this Cantata, "Jauchzett Gott in allen Landen" and "Wir beten zu dem Tempel an."   I am ready to sing it again, anytime, anywhere.

Handel's Messiah- A staple of the repertoire still much beloved.  I always enjoy performing these solos.

(n.b.: "en pointe" in this case means that the soprano solos in these works are fully prepared and ready to perform)
