Pupdate: September 15, 2006

Well it has been a hectic week as my ISP went out when they fixed the phone lines (hooray I have a home phone now!!). But I am back online finally -- you don't realize how much you do on the internet until you don't have it!!

It has been hectic week, and puppies and Nykeita have been a tad neglected. Nykeita expressed her unhappiness by busting out of the window beside the A/C window unit. Alas due to her bad behavior, she is now having to be crated when I am not home so the puppies are even less happy with the overall arrangement. If it was a tad cooler I would take the A/C out and leave her loose in the room but it is too hot still to be without A/C.

The puppies are finally in stage II of their containment -- ie the bathroom closet. They got to go outside for the first time last night as I was getting the new "digs" ready for them. They romped and played outside and then were all tuckered out. I was surprised that the picture turned out as good as it did as it was taken late at night.

No weights on puppies -- sorry! That is on the agenda for the weekend. They are becoming much more interactive and cry to be held and cuddled when I walk into the room. They are romping and wrestling a lot more. No clear pecking order although Tara is usually in the middle of a tussle evertime I see her! BlackJack and Jade are continuing to develop as my curious, analyzing, explorers. I expect one or both of them to escape from their current containment anyday now.

New individual pictures are up under the individual pages (click home and scroll down to the links to each puppy's page) - the green cloth background was not the best choice as the computer kept trying to redden the puppies when I was cleaning the pictures up. So some are not as crisp and sharp as normal. Osiris was being a lazy pup and refused to stand up. Blackjack provided the best overall picture as far as giving an idea about conformation right now.

BlackJack is staying a very dark brown almost black color. Interestingly enough even though Osiris was the darker before, Osiris has really lightened up the last few days. He will probably end up almost identical to Nykeita in coloration -- dark coffee brown with black sabling & mask, and white markings. BlackJack may stay almost black. Monty is still heavily silvered and he may stay a silver-fawn. Jade is losing some of her silvering and Tara & Kiara are staying a nice rich fawn. Bongo is getting to be a richer brown and his white hair is a bit softer than his colored hair which is very interesting.

Below are a picture from their trip outside and then pictures from their new "digs" messy eating and all. Again, individual pictures of each pup are up on their specific webpage but I attached a picture of Blackjack so you could see overall conformation.

Tuckered out from playing outside

All the pups enjoying the new 'digs' - look how messy they are when eating. Pieces of puppy food are everywhere.

BlackJack -- best example of the puppies' general conformation. He was hands down the most cooperative for pictures.
