| This game is yet another Konami 3/4 overhead view side scrolling beat em up game. It plays very similar to other games such as X-Men, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Bucky O Hare (never played that one, i've heard it's similar to the others) and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2. I've also been told this game is still a good money maker by a local operator and my local arcade now has it. The graphics and sounds in this are great, just like all these types of Konami games, second only to X-Men if you ask me. I really like the TV style intro that even plays the theme music from the Simpsons TV show and the voices of the characters that are VERY accurate, more so than any other Konami game I've played. This game also added a uniqe "double team" feature, where you had two players position their characters next to each other and they would do some type of team attack. Homer and Marge form a human wheel and roll around, Lisa and Bart join hands and run around screaming, Bart or Lisa can get on Homer's shoulders and hit people with their skateboard/jumprope and marge will throw the kids causing them to fly back and forth on the screen! |
