Returning to Hershey with the series tied at one game a piece, both teams had a lot of pressure on them to win. After a seven day break the Bears entered the game with the crowd behind them and the momentum of the previous win. Both of these factors though seemed to disappeared as Hershey started to play a game of dump and chase, clearly not the game that they have perfected. Saturday’s game was one in which I have never seen Hershey play like the way they played, none of them seemed to be on their game, except Cassivi who even with the 2-0 defeat played a phenomenal game shielding Hershey from greater embarrassment.
Game four proved to be do or die time for Hershey and they came out playing their game and surpassing Milwaukee’s skating game. Right from the start Hershey came out with four goals in the first from Cutta, Beech, Tenute, and Forbes within the first ten minutes. This exploding beginning proved to be the end of Milwaukee’s goalie Pekka Rinne. Brian Finley then entered the crease for Milwaukee. The second period proved to show some light when they scored two goals within the first five minutes. Then Hershey answered the response by Milwaukee with the second from Beech. The 5-2 lead continued into the third when Hershey then scored again twice from Laich and Steckel. These two goals toped off all the scoring leading to a 7-2 win for Hershey.
Milwaukee plays a lot like Portland and Wilkes-Barre all of them when behind loose all the class that can be hockey and turn into a cheep shot way of playing. If Hershey can stay on their game and not let this rattle their game they can win.
