And as if on que, this song, one of my three favorite songs of all time, starts playing right as I'm about to begin the entry on the anniversary of these stupid ramblings of mine. That's right boys, it's been a full year since I decided the internet needed to hear what I had to say. I'd like to say it's been a long year, but in all honesty, it really hasn't. In commeration of this glorious occasion I'm going to recap some of the events of the last calendar year for you.
Last February nothing much happened. I turned 19 and gave up soda for lent, besides that there really isn't much to talk about. March kinda followed the same path as february except for the end of spring break party at Zach's house which was possibly the bet party I've ever been too. No, it definately is the best party I've ever been too, the topless chicks making out sealed the deal on that one. I was also working at Beef's still and didn't really care too much about anything. In April I went to Vegas for Mike and Vicki's wedding and drank a full serving of soda for possibly the last time in my life. I also broke an ironing board at the Tropicana, which in my opinion should be demolished immediately. April also marked the end of my first year in college and the beginning of a Summer which was much more eventful than it really appeared at the time. May was a good month. I began working out regularly, which doesn't really seem to have paid off really, but oh well, it gave me something to do over the summer. I didn't have shit to worry about except for work, which I was the man at, and I also spent some good old quality time with Mike. June was much like May, the summer was still fresh and I had no worries.
July was when I began to realize the summer was coming to a close and started to take advantage of the time I had left. It was in July that I made my second trip to Weeki Wachee. No one caught a fish when we went out on the boat, and I fell off of it multiple times, or at least that's what I'm told. Josh's friend Terry was also scared by us, which in itself is pretty cool, and Josh flipped out and didn't talk to any of us for quite awhile. All in all, it was an awesome time. Mike, Shane, and I also made a voyage up to Atlanta to watch my Mets get abliterated by the Braves. That was kinda depressing, but the trip as a whole was awesome. We thought it would have been hard to beat Miami, but it appears that the Atlanta trip has raised the bar on the summer baseball tour trips. August was when we got back to Florida. We set plans for the next trip, which will be to Colorado, and that was about when the fun ended. School began at the end of the month and the worry-o-meter went from a 1 to an 8.5. I met Nathan, Jimmy, and all the dudes in 206 in August and they're all pertty cool, so that was good.
September was boring, at least I can't remember anything cool happening in September. Lets move on to October. In October I got hired at Walgreen's, which was good at the time because I needed money, but this place doesn't really give me that much, so it sucks. My level of frusteration with life has never been higher as a result. November was great, mainly because of Thanksgiving. How could it not be with all that food. Damn I love turkey. December was kinda weird. On one hand, I was here by myself for vast stretches of time because everyone was back at home so that really sucked, but on the other hand, I went to El Paso with Kate and had an AWESOME time. We ate a crap load of pizza, watched some funny movies, and i got a tuque out of it, so I was straight. I also went back to Weeki Wachee for a winter trip with Mike, Collin, Steven, Josh, and Clay. That trip was probably the only thing that kept me from losing my mind in December. I can't wait to go back. Sheilds also came down for a weekend and I got no sleep for a rather long period of time. It was well worth it though. January I returned to school from my 2 week hiatus and began school again. I'm still sick of my job, which blows nuts, but hopefully the nice people at Towne Park will feel pity on me and give me a job.
That about sums up the memorable parts of the last year, keep in mind I've forgotten many of the things that happened as they were happening, so I may have left some important things out, but in some way, they'll always be a part of me. Not that it would help you any, because you didn't get to read it, but still.
Anyway, recently I haven't been doing much of shit. I had a revelation at work the other night. I keep seeing regular guys with really incredibly ugly wives/girlfriends. It kinda got me thinking. I'm always lookin for a chick, but really, if this is what I have to look forward to, do I really want one??? Even if I was with this incredibly hot chick, if she let herself go, I just don't think I could put up with that. It may seem shallow, but hey, personality can only go so far. Well I'm done for now, gonna end this entry in style with a proper jam. Keep it real, bitches!
Yeah, So it will be another year until the worst holiday in the history of mankind rolls back around. I don't hold any hostility towards Valentine's Day because of the fact that I have no one to celebrate this crappy day with, I'm all the better for that because I don't have to spend money on crappy things that people really don't need. I simply don't like it because it's a completely worthless day. Why should people have to do extra shit to prove they love someone? It's bullshit. Anyway, I've got some stuff to catch everyone up on.
The weekend before last Mike and Collin came out to visit me with the intentions of working on Cougarbear. We got absolutly no work done on that. I don't even think my computer was turned on that weekend. It doesn't really matter anyway because I had a hell of a time. Except for the fact that I punched Collin in the head at some point and may or may not have given Mike a concussion, I'd say a good time was had by all. At least no one has told me they didn't have a good time.
Last tuesday, Feb 8, was my 20th birthday. It's yet another of the useless birthdays besides 18 and 21. It was a pretty good day though. The Samoan came out here with Chelsea and Jamie and we went to The Social to see Anberlin play. It was a pretty good show, not as good as the last time I saw them, but still good. After the concert we all ate some pizza and chilled for a few until they left. At that point I turned my computer on and all hell broke loose. A virus had attacked the registry and deleted all the system files so no programs on my computer would open, including the essay which I had typed the night before which was due at 7:30 Wednesday night. I then drove out to Plant City in an attempt to boot the computer from a disc and salvage the essay so I wouldn't have to re-write it. It didn't work and I had to re-write it anyway and also wasted 4 hours between the drive and trying to fix it, and $2.50 on tolls. The positive of all of this is the fact that now my computer is working better than it has in the last year, but it was a pain in the ass putting all the music and pictures back on my computer. I'm still not sure if I have all the pictures back, but eventually I'll get them back. Yeah, I guess that's about it for now. Maybe....
