2001-02 UD PLAYMAKERS HOCKEY

The thought of pulling an auto'd bobblehead really got me interested in this box. Take into consideration that it was very affordable, and, BAM! you have a winner.

Pulls

Of the 5 inserts expected, I was lucky enough to pull 6, my best being a Krys Kolanos RC xx/1250.

Other SP's that I pulled were Olivier Michard xx/1250 and Tom Kostopoulus xx/1250.

Each box contained on average 1 jersey, I pulled two. However, one DECENT player would have been nicer than the two mediocre ones I pulled.

My jerseys were of Ron Tugnutt and Maxim Oulette. The Tugger was a Red Swatch, booking at $15. The Oulette was a black practise jersey, booking at $12.

Last but not least, the bobblehead. I pulled Pavel Bure. While it would have been nice to pick up one of those Autographed Ilya's, Pavel will do me just fine.

Overall, the best that came out of this were two of the more sought after rookies from the set, Kolanos and Michaud, aswell as the completed base set of 100 cards. The cards are sharp looking, but the SP's are nothing special.

If you are a young and pennyless collector, than this is the box for you, but if you aren't, than I would recommend something a little higher end. Sure the auto'd bobbles are SWEET, but chances are you jersey is going to be a common, and you're not getting any insert sets whatsoever. If you want my grade, I'll give this box a 7/10.
