This is an old fashioned, gentle adventure tale. It stars Hermux Tantamoq, watchmaker and clock repairer. He is a mouse who enjoys his work, quality cheese and a good doughnut.

One day Linka Perflinker, daredevil, adventuress and aviatrix, visits his shop. She asks him to repair her precision watch. The days pass, and Hermux is concerned when she does not return to collect it. He becomes suspicious when a rude rat tries to claim it on her behalf. Soon Hermux is involved in an adventure, as he tries to find Miss Perflinker.

This cosy novel has a very loveable hero, and dastardly villians. It also has an amusing take on modern art.
