What’s Going On In This Love Scene? (South Park)

Cartman: These two kids are in love with each other. Too bad they can’t go out with each other. Not that I care, but they should be together. It’s not his fault that he’s Jewish. She’s just lucky she isn’t

Kyle: I’m just a lonely Jew. I wish I could have a girl. I mean, it’s just a few stupid holidays that make us different. Just because I live in this redneck town and I’m the only Jew here, I should still be able to have a girlfriend too. I love her, but I cannot have her. If she only knew how I felt about her, then we could be together.

Bebe: Wow Kyle!

Kyle: Speak again. I cannot live without hearing the squeaking chirp that is your voice.

Bebe: Kyle, why is it that your family celebrates Chanukah when we all celebrate Christmas? Why Passover during Easter? If only one of us would convert, then we could live together. What does anything about your ancestry matter anyway? A possum without a tail would still be just as exciting to hunt.

Kyle: (throws a snowball at a window) My Love!

Bebe: (opens window) Who threw that?

Kyle: I only wish that my mother were nicer. Then she would see that I couldn’t be a Jew. In order to be happy, I need to be like all of the other fourth graders.

Bebe: Kyle? Is that you hottie?

Kyle: It is.

Bebe: What are you doing here babe? You know my dad hates Jews. He will let our dogs out. They will kill you.

Kyle: I know, but I’m not scared. I would risk anything to be with you. I’m sure I could get away.

Bebe: Kyle, I love you so much. I love your cute little legs, your wonderful smile, and your big blue eyes. But Kyle…

Kyle: Yea?

Bebe: Do you love me too Kyle?

Kyle: Of course I love you. It is my love for you that has brought me to you, and it is my love for you that will keep us together in the tough times that shall come.

Bebe: Oh Kyle!

Bebe’s Dad: Honey! Who are you talking to?

Bebe: No one Dad! I’ll be there in a minute.(turns to Kyle) I need to go cutie!

Kyle: Wait! When we get older, I will marry you Bebe! I don’t know how I could forgive myself if I didn’t. Will you agree to be my bride?

Bebe: Of course, Kyle! There is no one I would rather be with for the rest of my life than you! I have to go babe! I’ll see you in school tomorrow.

Kyle: I have to go too. I will dream of you tonight, and in the morning we will talk again. Good Night!

Bebe: Later, babe!
