Dear Mr. Henderson,

My name is Greg Postyn and I have just completed reading your book, Marine Sniper, as part of a biography project for my eleventh grade English class.

Often, when I am required to read a specific type of book for school, I find that it is difficult to choose a book that I can enjoy due to time constraints and limit of selection. In this case, however, I really enjoyed reading your book and found Gunnery Sergeant Hathcock's story intriguing. In fact, I enjoyed this book so much that I am now planning to purchase Silent Warrior. I found the style of the book very interesting because it balanced the excitement and danger of war with the everyday life of a soldier in Vietnam. I was wondering what sparked your interest in Gunnery Sergeant Hathcock. He is certainly an interesting individual, but prior to reading your book I had never heard of him. Also, have you had any military experience yourself? You seem to have a very strong knowledge of military terminology and weaponry.

Thank you for your time in reading this letter, and I thank you in advance for your response.

                                                                                    Sincerely,

                                                                                    Greg Postyn
