Throughout
this first semester in Comp 4, I have written many essays and other writing
assignments. Some of them have been good, while others have been not so good.
Overall, I am happy with the quality of these assignments and the quality of my
webpage. My strongest assignment is probably the Catcher in the Rye
final project. I chose to do a movie script and because I have a very logical
mind, or as Ms. Gokturk describes it, a “director’s eye”, I was able to write a
strong script that really demonstrates the emotions and actions of the novel in
a short film. My weakest project would probably be the character essay about
becoming Derek Jeter. It is difficult for me to choose who I would most want to
be since I am pretty happy with myself. Of course there are a few things I
would like to change, but my overall opinion is that I would want to be me,
which made it difficult to write about becoming someone else. I am also very
happy with my webpage overall. I used media to enhance my webpage, including my
headline about the Buckeyes winning the NCAA National Championship because I am
a huge fan, as well as the Buckeyes fight song, “Fight the Team”, in the
background. I also used a colorful and humorous background with an image of a
purple cow on all of my pages. In conclusion, this has been a successful and
productive semester and I am proud of my progress and achievements in writing.
