My Family |

Let me begin by telling you that my "family" is pretty messed up. Someone once told me they would not be surprised to see my family on the Jerry Springer Show. We all know we can't choose our family so we have to accept it and deal with them in our own way. My way of dealing with them is to have as little contact with them as possible. Not everyone in my family is bad but there's very few I keep in contact with.
I am the daughter of Viola Williams and Ernest Ricketts. I was the product of a one time thing so I guess that would make me an only child.... sort of.
I have many siblings but there's about three that are close to me that I consider my true brothers and sister. My mom has two sons and one daughter (me). My brother Roy and my brother Andy aka Buddy. My maternal grandmother Evelyn Saudarg raised my brother Roy and I since birth. Did I mention she did this while she was blind.
When I was about 15, I met my father and came to find out that he has six other children He has two sons and four other daughters. My dad and I don't have much of a relationship which I'm happy the way things are. However, the one person on my dad's side of my family that I truly love is my sister Angie. We have our ups and downs but no matter what I love her like the sister I've always wanted. Regardless of what's going on between us we are definitely sisters.
On February 21, 2007 I married the most wonderful man in the world and therefore, I have acquired more people to call my family. I love them all and I get along with them better than my own family. |

This is my grandmother, Evelyn. She is blind and raised my brother Roy and I since we were born. She did a wonderful job taking care of us and if it weren't for her I wouldn't be the person I am today. |

This is my mom, Viola. My entire time growing up I looked identical to her. She was the one person I always wanted to grow up to be just like. Now that I'm an adult I'm glad I'm unique and am more like myself, however the one characteristic of hers that I wish I had was her work ethic. |

This is a photograph of my brother Roy and his girlfriend Michelle. Roy and I were together our entire lives until he graduated from high school and then moved four hours away. Growing up we were as close as could be and when he left our relationship kind of vanished. We seen each other when he would come home to visit now and again and I knew I could always call him if I needed something but that was about the extent of it. Since I've moved to Reading we only live about 20 minutes away from each other and I love that. We've spent lots of time together since then and it's just wonderful being so close to my brother again. |

This is my sister, her son Anthony and our grandmother. My sister and I are very close. I know I can go to her with anything and she'll never judge me or tell a soul what I tell her. She's the best sister in the world and I would never choose to have it any other way. |

My brother Buddy and I led very different lives growing up because we were raised by two very different people. When I was younger I wanted to be where he was but it all turned out for the best. I didn't have much of a relationship with him until the past couple years and we've become much closer than we've ever been. |

Thiis is my sister-in-law Melodie and my brother-in-law Jeremy. Melodie is one of my very close friends who is just great. Jeremy is Jonathan's brother and he's a lot of fun to be around. They recently had a little boy named Jaden who you see below. |
